Spiritualized - Hey Jane
J Spaceman’s 7th album is on the launchpad for April. In anticipation, I’ve been listening through some older stuff. Songs in A&E, Ladies and Gentlemen…, Feel So Sad, etc. Egad, this band is good. “Hey Jane” is the first single from Sweet Heart, Sweet Light.

Alabama Shakes – How Many More Times (Led Zeppelin cover)
Brittany Howard and company continue to set the woods on fire. The band stopped by WXPN’s World Cafe Live in Philadelphia last week and dropped this ball of flame. Check out the full stream on npr.org to hear the full set including the title track to their forthcoming album, Boys And Girls.
There have been some rumours about it recently, but apparently it’s been confirmed: Beach House will release a new album in 2012. It will be titled Bloom and counts 10 tracks - expectations are obviously very high since their magical Teen Dream. Bloom is out on May 15 via Sub Pop, you can find the tracklist below. Suggest you start building a stock of tissues already.

New Multitudes (Yim Yames) - Changing World
This song just stopped me in my tracks. New music from Jim James is always a great thing. Can’t get enough of that voice.
And here’s an early track from that upcoming New Multitudes album.
hypnotic brass ensemble with a lovely instrumental cover of outkast’s spottieottiedopealiscious

Michael Kiwanuka - I’m Getting Ready
Honey sweet funk-soul from the UK. Michael Kiwanuka’s debut LP is due March 12. These tracks sound like they were made in 1950, but Kiwanuka says:
They’re not old songs. They’re written right now and it’s a young dude singing them. I don’t intentionally go in to make them sound old.
Whatever he’s doing, intentionally or not, I love it.

Young Magic Night In The Ocean (S. Maharba Serpent Love Song Remix)
To celebrate the release of the Young Magic’s debut LP Melt dropping today, it’s only fitting they would get one of the hawtest producers in the game, S. Maharba to sex up this track special for VDay. This remix is something serious. So…should I just get naked now?
I put the original version of this track on my “One Night Stand” Guest Mix I did for Live For The Funk. You can download the entire mix HERE.
Young Magic’s debut album, Melt, is out now via Carpark and comes complete with a silver half moon pendant. Buy it HERE.
(via Prefix Mag)
The second single from Chromatics’ “Kill For Love” album.
A cover of the classic Neil Young song.
Enjoy!
